About Alixir Aesthetics & Medical Clinic

Alixir Aesthetics & Medical Clinic is operated by Lenka Kandrova, a sole trader.

Alixir currently provides mobile aesthetic and related services in Hitchin and Peterborough.

Lenka Kandrova is the person legally responsible for the business.

02

Eligibility & Age Requirements

Alixir treatments are available to clients aged 18 years and over only.

We do not provide treatments to anyone under the age of 18.

We may request appropriate identification to verify your age before consultation or treatment.

If appropriate identification cannot be provided when requested, treatment may not proceed.

03

Booking an Appointment

Appointments may be arranged through:

  • The Alixir website
  • Fresha
  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • WhatsApp
  • Telephone
  • Email

Alixir currently uses Fresha as its online booking system.

Where you use Fresha to make a booking or payment, Fresha's own applicable terms and privacy practices may also apply to your use of its platform.

Booking confirmations are intended to be sent automatically, and appointment reminders may also be provided.

It remains your responsibility to attend your appointment at the agreed date, time and location even if a reminder is not received.

04

Deposits

BOOKING DEPOSIT £30

A £30 deposit is required when booking an appointment.

The deposit secures your appointment and is taken at the time of booking.

The deposit will normally be applied towards the relevant appointment or treatment.

If you cancel your appointment with at least 24 hours' notice, your deposit may be refunded.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or fail to attend your appointment, your deposit will be retained.

If, following appropriate assessment, you are considered medically unsuitable for treatment, your deposit will be refunded.

05

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.

Where at least 24 hours' notice is provided, the £30 deposit may be refunded.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, the deposit may be retained.

This policy exists because appointment time is reserved specifically for you and short-notice cancellations may prevent the appointment from being offered to another client.

06

Rescheduling

If you need to change your appointment, please contact Alixir as soon as possible.

Alixir does not currently have a separate fixed rescheduling notice period.

Where a change is requested, Alixir will confirm the available options with you.

07

Missed Appointments & No-Shows

If you do not attend your appointment without cancelling in accordance with the cancellation policy, your £30 deposit will be retained.

A new deposit may be required before another appointment can be secured.

08

Late Arrival

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

If you arrive late, there may not be sufficient time to carry out your consultation or treatment safely and appropriately.

In these circumstances, Alixir may refuse to proceed with the treatment and your deposit may be retained.

Alixir has not established a specific number of minutes after which an appointment is automatically cancelled. Decisions regarding late arrival will depend on the circumstances and whether sufficient appointment time remains.

09

If Alixir Needs to Cancel or Reschedule

Occasionally, Alixir may need to change or cancel an appointment.

If this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to discuss the appointment and available alternatives.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you may have.

10

Consultations

A separate consultation is not required before every treatment, and treatment may be booked without having attended a prior standalone consultation.

Where a consultation is booked separately, the current consultation fee is £40, which is intended to be applied towards treatment.

Consultations are approximately 20 minutes and may be available in person or online.

Regardless of whether a separate consultation appointment takes place, appropriate assessment, medical information and consent may still be required before treatment proceeds.

Booking a treatment does not guarantee that treatment will ultimately be considered suitable.

11

Medical History & Treatment Suitability

Clients are required to provide accurate and complete information relevant to treatment.

Alixir may collect information including:

  • Medical history
  • Current or previous medical conditions
  • Medications
  • Allergies
  • Previous aesthetic treatments
  • Other information relevant to treatment suitability

A health questionnaire is completed as part of the treatment process, and Alixir intends for this information to be collected digitally where possible.

You should inform Alixir of relevant changes to your health, medication or medical circumstances before treatment.

Treatment may be declined, postponed or altered where it is considered inappropriate or unsuitable based on the information available.

If a client is found to be medically unsuitable following assessment, the appointment deposit will be refunded.
12

Consent to Treatment

Clients are required to provide appropriate consent before treatment.

Alixir uses treatment consent forms and intends to use separate consent documentation where appropriate for different treatments.

You should read any consent information carefully and ask questions if there is anything you do not understand.

Consent to treatment does not require you to consent to the public or promotional use of your photographs.

13

Treatment Expectations

Aesthetic treatments affect individuals differently.

Treatment suitability, experience, recovery and results may vary according to factors including individual anatomy, health, treatment area, treatment type and biological response.

Information provided on the Alixir website or social media is intended to provide general information and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a particular outcome.

Before proceeding, clients should discuss their individual concerns, expectations and treatment options with Alixir.

No particular aesthetic result is guaranteed.

14

Before & After Photographs

Alixir may take before-and-after photographs in connection with treatment.

Photographs may form part of your treatment or clinical record.

Clinical photographs are taken with appropriate consent. Clients may refuse the use of their images for marketing while still receiving treatment.

Permission to use identifiable photographs publicly for purposes such as the Alixir website, social media or advertising should be dealt with separately from consent to receive treatment.

Further information about how photographs and personal information are handled is available in our Privacy Policy.

15

Aftercare

Aftercare information will be provided following treatment where appropriate.

Alixir currently provides aftercare information verbally and may also provide written instructions where required.

You are responsible for following the aftercare instructions provided to you.

If you are concerned about your recovery or experience symptoms that concern you following treatment, contact Alixir promptly for appropriate guidance.

Where symptoms appear urgent or require immediate medical attention, seek appropriate urgent or emergency medical assistance rather than waiting for a response from Alixir.
16

Prices

Current treatment prices are displayed through Alixir's website, booking system or other current treatment information.

Prices may vary depending on the treatment selected and individual treatment requirements.

Where a price is described as "from" or as a starting price, the final price may depend on the treatment plan agreed with you.

Where appropriate, the final treatment and price should be discussed before treatment proceeds.

17

Payments

Alixir currently accepts card and cash payments.

Online deposits and payments may be processed through Fresha.

Unless otherwise agreed, any remaining treatment balance should be paid in accordance with the payment arrangements communicated for your appointment.

Alixir may introduce treatment packages or payment plans separately. Any specific conditions relating to such arrangements should be provided when those services are introduced.

18

Refunds

Deposits are dealt with in accordance with the cancellation and suitability provisions set out above.

  • A deposit may be refunded where at least 24 hours' cancellation notice is provided.
  • A deposit is retained following a no-show.
  • A deposit may be retained where late arrival means treatment cannot proceed.
  • A deposit will be refunded if a client is assessed as medically unsuitable for treatment.

Alixir has not established a general treatment-refund policy beyond these circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

19

Treatment Packages & Payment Plans

Alixir may offer packages, courses of treatment or payment arrangements.

Payment plans and packages are currently being developed.

Where these are introduced, any package-specific conditions, including payment arrangements, expiry periods, cancellations or refunds, should be provided before purchase.

Until specific package conditions are published, no additional package rules should be assumed from these Terms.

20

Website Information

We aim to keep information on the Alixir website accurate and up to date.

However, treatment information, prices, availability and services may change.

Website information is provided for general informational purposes and does not replace an individual consultation, suitability assessment or professional medical advice where such advice is required.

Images and examples of previous treatment results are illustrative of individual client experiences and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that another client will achieve the same result.

21

Website Availability

We do not guarantee that the website or every feature of it will always be available without interruption.

Access may occasionally be restricted due to maintenance, technical issues, updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where the website links to or integrates with third-party services such as Fresha, Google, Instagram or Facebook, those services are operated by their respective providers and may be subject to their own terms.

22

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content created for the Alixir website, including its original text, branding, graphics and other original materials, belongs to Alixir Aesthetics & Medical Clinic or is used with appropriate permission.

You may view and use the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, copy, republish or commercially exploit Alixir's original website content without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.

23

Privacy & Personal Information

Alixir collects and processes personal information in connection with enquiries, appointments, consultations and treatments.

This may include sensitive health information.

Further information about how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected is contained in our Privacy Policy.

Information about cookies and website tracking technologies is contained in our Cookie Policy.

Alixir currently uses systems including Fresha, Google Drive and Hostinger in connection with its business and website infrastructure.

24

Marketing Communications

Where Alixir sends promotional communications, clients should be provided with an appropriate way to unsubscribe or withdraw marketing consent where applicable.

Stopping marketing communications does not prevent Alixir from sending necessary communications relating to an existing booking, treatment, payment or other service requested by you.

Alixir may use email, SMS and WhatsApp for marketing communications where appropriate.

25

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your experience with Alixir, please contact us so that the matter can be reviewed.

Complaints should be made by email to:

hello@alixirclinic.com

Complaints are handled by Lenka Kandrova.

Alixir currently aims to respond to complaints within approximately 7–14 days.

26

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Alixir is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by a client where Alixir has reasonably relied on that information when assessing or providing treatment.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information relevant to their health and treatment and for following appropriate aftercare instructions.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

27

Third-Party Services & Links

The Alixir website may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services.

These may include services provided by:

  • Fresha
  • Google
  • Instagram
  • Facebook / Meta

Third-party websites and platforms operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies and cookie practices.

Alixir is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of independent third-party websites.

28

Changes to These Terms

Alixir may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to:

  • Services
  • Treatments
  • Booking arrangements
  • Pricing
  • Business practices
  • Technology
  • Applicable requirements

The latest version will be published on the Alixir website with an updated revision date.

Where appropriate, specific terms applicable at the time of a booking or purchase will continue to apply to that transaction.

29

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions and any dispute or claim arising in connection with them are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer concerning where proceedings may legally be brought.
